Hull City are rumoured to be making a shock move for Benfica striker Ariza Makukula as the hunt for a striker continues.
The Mirror reports that Phil Brown's scouts watched the striker play last night, with Makukula available on a loan or permanent basis having been loaned out last season.
Makukula has featured once for the Portuguese national side, scoring on his debut against Kazakhstan during a 2-1 win.
The 27 year old striker has played across Europe, featuring for Sevilla, FC Nantes and currently Benfica. Makukula has been at Benfica for seven months since joining in January for 3.5 million Euros move but has only featured 16 times having been loaned to Gimnastic & more recently Maritimo.
At 6ft 3 inches, Makukula could be the striker Phil Brown is looking for to play the target man role in his 4-5-1 formation. With moves for Kevin Davies and Marlon King both faltering, the rumoured move for Makukula may have some truth in it.
